Today 18 years since the death of the former president of Kosovo, Berisha: Tonight we honor Ibrahim Rugova

Chief Democrat Sali Berisha spoke from the balcony of his apartment to supporters who have been protesting in his support for days.

Berisha said that on this night an honor belongs to the architect of independent Kosovo, the man who made every Albanian free, Ibrahim Rugova.

"Good evening and warm greetings! Unlimited gratitude, to each of you, for your courage, determination in this epic battle for Albania and the Albanians.

With your endurance, your resistance, you inspire and will inspire every day, every Albanian who aspires for his freedom. Every Albanian who considers the essence of his being, his freedom, human dignity.

It's been three weeks that every night, at any time, in the best month of the year for the weather, you gathered on the 'road of hope' and transformed it not only into a path of hope, but a path of enlightenment for the minds and hearts of Albanians, the path of inspiring and encouraging Albanians in this battle, against the greatest evil that has plagued Albania and Albanians after Enver Hoxha and that is called Edi Rama.

He is the genius of the political pen. No one in the history of this nation resembles the legendary Skanderbeg more than Ibrahim Rugova.
