The presidential campaign in the USA, another opponent of Trump withdraws

Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis, once seen as Donald Trump's most formidable opponent in the Republican presidential primary, suspended his campaign on Sunday.
The move comes two days before the New Hampshire primary.
DeSantis made the announcement in a video on X — the same social media platform where he made the splashy presentation of his White House bid, nbcnews writes .
“If I could do anything to produce a favorable outcome, more campaign stops, more interviews, I would. But I cannot ask our supporters to volunteer their time and donate their resources. We don't have a clear path to victory. Therefore, I am suspending my campaign today."
"It's clear to me that the majority of Republican voters want to give Donald Trump another chance," he said, adding: "He has my support because we can't go back to the old Republican guard of yesteryear, a form of repackaged warmed-up corporatism that Nikki Haley represents.”
His departure leaves Nikki Haley as Donald Trump's only significant rival.
