Within this year, it is expected to set up the property investigation system that will be implemented by the General Directorate of Taxes, together with that of Road Transport. In cases where it is found that the value of the vehicle is not justified, the owner will be taken for investigation.
To prove that the money with which the vehicle was purchased was not obtained from illegal activities, the value of the car will be compared with the personal income of its owner.
In an effort to fight informality and money laundering, the Register of Taxpayers' Assets is expected to be established within 2026.
It will include both movable monetary assets and immovable assets in properties. In the register that was planned to be established next year, the richest will be listed first, to be expanded later with other categories.
The initiatives that are expected to be implemented in the next two years, with the aim of reducing "cash" are similar to the "Force of the Law" operation, but their implementation will not be done by the State Police, but by the General Directorate of Taxes.
