SP group leader Taulant Balla has ruled out the scenario of parliament’s dissolution by President Ilir Meta.
Balla said in a statement to the media that “Ilir Meta is sidelined by the assembly”.
“The constitution and regulation set out the cases when the president can address the Assembly. The Republic of Albania is pure.
The President of the Republic elected to that office by the Assembly is well aware of this lack of the President’s right to have this kind of access to the Assembly. The Assembly may dismiss the president.
The President sides with the Assembly to dismiss him. The president must understand that he is a person under investigation for violating the constitution, ”Balla said.
